1990 – 1999

 

The 1990 Ironmen had a 13 -16 record with import and former major leaguer  Elia Sosa getting 4 of them.

The 1991 Ironmen finished with a 20-6 record.. Import Aaron Merrill had 9 wins (Tops in league)  , an Ironmen record that still stands 77 K’s (Tops in league)  and Terry Leggatt had 6 wins

Ron Munro topped the league in runs with 38

1992 The Ironmen slipped to 12-15 with Aaron Merrill again leading the league  in wins with 5 (Tie) and K’s with 72, while Dana Parotte had 4 wins. Parotte also topped the team in hitting (387) and HR’s with 6. Merrill batted 338 to finish 2nd Parotte also tied for the league lead in doubles with 9

1993 Ironmen had another sub 500 year finishing with a 12-15 record. Brady frost had a 7-2 record to lead the league. Frost also batted 418 and hit 7 HR  . Frost topped the league with 41 hits and 36 RBI. Chris Pedezwa (362 ave) had 9 HR’s to lead the league in that department. The Ironmen defeated Newcastle 3-2 and lost to Saint john 4-1

1994 Ironmen finished at 17-11 with Pete Schultz getting 5 wins .Dean Gallant batted 420 and Pete Schultz batted 397 with 7 HR. Gallant topped the league in Batting Average, Runs (31) hits (42) Doubles (100 and Stolen Bases (16). Schultz lead the league in RBI with 30.

1995 was THE YEAR. The Ironmen won the Canadian Championship at home before a packed Ironmen Field.  In the league the Ironmen finished at 19-9.Scott O’Brien had 7 wins to top the league  and Brady Frost was tops in ERA with 2.04,., hit 11 HR and batted 451 with 40 RBI. Eric Despres topped the league in runs with 33.  The Ironmen defeated Saint John before losing to Fredericton 4-3

1996 The Ironmen finished the regular season with a 21-7 record. David Godfrey was undefeated going 6-0 leading the league in wins. All-stars were Eric Despres 2B, Dean Gallant -o, and John Payne – Import Pitcher.Godfrey also batted 420 with 12 HR 33 runs and 31 RBI He also stole 8 bases. Godfrey topped the league  in runs, ,rbi, ,hr, hits (34) and tied for stolen bases. Dean Gallant batted 596. John Jeninski topped the league in ERA at 1.23 . The Ironmen lost 4-3 to Saint John in the playoffs

1997 Ironmen finished 17-9. Gary Traer was 5-2 to head the team and David Godfrey went 4-0, leading the league in winning percentage. John Jeninski tied for the lead in K’s with 54.. Dean Gallant batted 487 and Mike Despres, Kevin McLean and Matt Jenkins had 5 HR each. Jenkins won Defensive Player of the Year, and 2nd team all-star. David Godfrey was 1st team All-star at 3B and Terry Leggatt 2nd team pitcher

1998 Another provincial championship for the men in red. They defeated Saint John 4-2 in the final, Fredericton 4-3 in the semi and Moncton 3-1 in the quarter final The regular season saw them finish at 15-13.Gary Traer was again 5-2 to lead the team. Dean Gallant batted 494 and Matt Jenkins 418 with 8 HR each.. Gallant lead the league in doubles with 9. All-stars were  1st team Dean Gallant -O, 2nd team Matt Jenkins SS and Gary Traer 2B.. Jon Saunders was chosen Rookie Of The Year.

1999 The decade came to a close and the Ironmen finished at 20-8 In the playoffs they defeated Newcastle 3-0 in the quarter final, Saint John 4-1 in the semi before losing to Fredericton 4-2 in the final..Jeff Agnew was 7-2 for the Ironmen, while Gary Traer finished 6-0.Matt Jenkins batted 491 with 7 HR, Dean Gallant 370 and 7 HR and Jon Saunders 342 with 6 HR. Troy Godfrey topped the league in stolen bases with 14. All-stars were Matt Jenkins  SS and Dean Gallant -O. Jenkins was also chosen as the Defensive Player Of The Year and Greg Morris was Coach Of The Year.
