The Chatham Miramichi Honda Ironmen played 3 games over the weekend, winning one .

On Friday the Ironmen were blanked 8-0 by the Fredericton Royals. Gary Ryder started for the Ironmen and pitched a strong game going 4.2 innings in his first start of the year. Matt Losier had the lone Ironmen hit

On Saturday the Ironmen hosted last year’s champion Charlottetown Islanders. An unearned run was the difference as the Islanders edged the Ironmen 1-0. JF Neveu pitched a strong complete game for the Ironmen. Orry Cook had both Ironmen hits and stole his 94th career base to move him into 4th place on the all time senior league list.

Game two saw a strong game from rookie Ronnie Dickson as he tossed a complete game 4 hitter to defeat the Islanders 2-0. Blake Gallagher hit a home run for the Ironmen while Matt Losier with two hits, including a double , Jimmy Russell with a double while Kris Keating ( RBI) . Orry Cook and Gary Ryder all had  singles .for the Ironmen.

The next home game is Thursday June 23 when the Moncton Fisher Cats are in town for a 7:30 start.
