League Semifinal Game 7: Moncton 11 Chatham 0 Friday, September 11th
Moncton jumped out to a 10-0 lead after
two innings and trounced the hometown Ironmen 11-0 in Game 7 of the league semifinals at Ironmen Field. Serge Vautour
and Mario Cormier each hit grand slams in the victory. Mets ace Ben Higgins shut down the Ironmen bats for his second
win of the series.
The Mets will now advance to face the Fredericton Royals in the league finals. Dates have
yet to be announced.
League Semifinal Game 6: Chatham 5
Moncton 2 Wednesday, September 9th
Derek
Wilson struck out eleven Mets and scattered nine hits to lead the Ironmen to a 5-2 victory, evening the series at three games
apiece. Wilson worked out of a seventh-inning jam, striking out Serge Vautour and Mario Cormier with the bases loaded.
Chatham jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, and scored singles in the fourth and sixth innings. Tom
Burns belted a solo homerun and a single. Alan Hilchie singled three times, and Wilson, Andrew Burns, and Gary Traer
each singled twice.
Game 7 will be played Friday night at 7:30pm at Ironmen Field.

Semifinal Game 5: Chatham 2 Moncton 0 Tuesday, September
8th
Matt Jenkins led the Ironmen to victory, yielding only two hits
to pick up his second complete-game victory of the series in the 2-0 victory. Moncton still leads the series 3-2.
With the games scoreless into the sixth inning, Andrew Burns led off with a homerun to left field to give the Ironmen
the lead. Jon Saunders singled home Tom Burns to pad the Ironmen lead to two.
Game 6 will go
in Moncton Wednesday night. If necessary, game 7 will be in Chatham Friday night at 7:30pm.

Semifinal Game 4: Moncton 5 Chatham 1 Sunday, September
6th
Simon Boucher tossed a complete-game five-hitter to lead the Mets
to a 5-1 victory. Boucher got out of a seventh-inning jam when he got Ironmen pinch hitter Ryan Barry to fly out to
deep right field with the bases loaded to end the game.
Gary Traer, with relief help from Jamie Walls, was charged
with the loss. Jon Saunders singled and doubled for the Ironmen, bringing home their lone run in the first inning.
League Semifinal Game 3: Moncton 14 Chatham 5 Saturday, September 5th
Moncton rapped out 18 hits off
three Ironmen pitchers en route to a 14-5 victory to take a 2-1 in the best-of-seven league semifinal. Chatham had jumped
out to a 2-0 first inning lead, but Moncton roared back with seven runs in the third inning.
Ben Higgins picked
up the complete-game victory for the Mets. Derek Wilson took the loss for Chatham.
Nick Hardy doubled twice
in defeat for the Ironmen. Tom Burns singled twice.
Game 4 will go Sunday afternoon at 2pm in Moncton.
League Semifinal Game 2: Chatham 6 Moncton 2 Thursday, September 3rd
Matt Jenkins tossed the complete-game
victory for the Ironmen, scattering six hits to even the series at one game apiece. Jenkins struck out eight Mets, and
walked four.
Chatham jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the third inning when Derek Wilson's two-run double scored
Tom Burns and Nick Hardy. Moncton would reply in the home half of the inning on an RBI double by Serge Vautour, and
an RBI single by Mario Cormier. Adem Campbell's single in the fourth inning put the Ironmen ahead to stay, scoring
Darren Hardy, who had doubled.
The top two hitters in the Ironmen order, Burns and Nick Hardy, went a combined
6 for 7 with three doubles and two runs batted in to pace the attack.
Luc Daigle suffered the loss for the
Mets, yielding ten hits and six runs, four of which were earned.
Game 3 will go Saturday night at Ironmen Field
at 7:30pm.
League Semifinal Game 1: Moncton 7 Chatham
6 Wednesday, September 2nd
Craig
Betts' seventh-inning triple scored Simon Boucher to give the Mets a 7-6 victory in Game 1 of the New Brunswick Senior
Baseball League Semifinal.
Chatham jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings on two-run singles by Alan
Hilchie and Derek Wilson, and a run-scoring single off the bat of Jon Saunders. Moncton roared back with two runs in
the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth. Tom Burns tied the game at six with a solo homerun in the sixth, before
Betts put Moncton ahead to stay.
Mario Cormier picked up the complete-game victory for Moncton. Kevin Bowes,
in relief of Gary Traer, picked up the loss for Chatham.
Game 2 will go tomorrow evening at 7:30pm at Harold Page
field in Riverview.
Chatham 6 Saint John 4 Sunday,
August 30th
Jon Saunders' three-run blast in the first inning
provided Matt Jenkins with an early lead as Chatham clinched first place with a 6-4 victory over Saint John. Jenkins
scattered seven hits and struck out five batters in his seventh win of the season.
Saunders' first-inning
homerun plated Nick Hardy and Derek Wilson, both of whom reached on singles. Tyson Waye and Alan Hilchie each added
run-scoring singles in a winning cause.
Brooks Saunders was charged with the loss for Saint John, giving up six
runs in five inning of work.
Saint John 3 Chatham 1 Sunday, August 30th
Sherman Yeo limited the Ironmen to one run and
six hits leading the Alpines to a 3-1 win in the first game of the doubleheader. Saint John scored two runs in the third
and one in the sixth.
Chatham scored its one run in the sixth inning when Alan Hilchie's single plated
Derek Wilson. Hilchie added a double, and Jon Saunders singled twice to lead the Ironmen at the plate.

Neveu was the hard-luck loser for Chatham, yielding six hits while striking out four.
Fredericton
14 Chatham 5 Thursday, August 27th
Fredericton cracked four homeruns, including two by Jody Peterson, en route to a 14-5 victory over the host
Ironmen. Ironmen starting pitcher Brian St. Coeur suffered the loss, tossing five innings yielding seven runs.
Tom Burns led the Ironmen offence with three hits, including a leadoff homerun in the first inning. Adem Campbell
doubled and singled twice, and Darren Hardy also singled twice.
Chatham will now host Saint John in a doubleheader
Saturday beginning at 4pm. The Ironmen can clinch first place with a split.
Chatham
7 Saint John 2 Saturday, August 15th
Matt Jenkins tossed a complete-game victory, scattering ten hits, to lead the Ironmen to a 7-2 victory
over the Alpines in the second game of the doubleheader. The win gives the Ironmen sole possession of first place, one
game up on Saint John.
Jon Saunders opened the scoring for the Ironmen when he launched a three-run homerun in
the first inning, plating Nick Hardy and Derek Wilson. After Saint John answered with one run in the second inning,
Chatham put the game out of reach with a four-run third, keyed by Tom Burns' two-run double. Saunders and Burns
also added singles to lead the Ironmen attack.
Brooks Saunders was the losing pitcher for the Alpines, yielding
eight hits and seven runs, three of which were earned, in three innings.
The league will now shut down until Thursday,
August 27th for the Canadian Senior Baseball Championships in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Saint John
8 Chatham 3 Saturday, August 15th
Ron Barton homered three times, driving in six runs as the Alpines downed the Ironmen 8-3, ending
Chatham's nine-game winning streak. Barton would add a single to complete a four-hit game.
Shaun O'Toole
picked up the victory for Saint John, scattering seven hits while striking out nine over seven innings. Ryan Barry picked
up the loss for Chatham, yielding eight runs on twelve hits.
Alan Hilchie led the Ironmen at the plate with a solo
homerun and a run-scoring singles. Jon Saunders also drove in a run with a single.

6 Moncton 1 Thursday, August 13th
Chatham scored five runs in the first inning and cruised to a 6-1 victory Thursday night at Ironmen
Field. The win is the ninth in a row for the Ironmen, putting them one game up on Saint John for first place.
The two teams will meet Saturday night in a doubleheader beginning at 5pm.
In the first inning, Darren Hardy roped
a bases-loaded doubleheader to right center to put the Ironmen on the board. Ryan Barry followed Hardy and ripped
a two-run homerun to right. In the third inning, Barry plated Jon Saunders with an RBI groundout. Saunders
had reached on a single to leftfield.
Matt Jenkins picked up the victory for the Ironmen scattering three hits
over four innings, striking out four Mets. Kevin Bowes picked up the save, tossing the last three innings, yielding
one run on three hits, striking out two. Steve Aube picked up the loss for Moncton.
Chatham
4 Fredericton 2 Monday,
August 10th
Gary Traer tossed five innings for his first victory
of the season as the Ironmen picked up a key 4-2 road victory over the Fredericton Royals. The win is the eighth in
a row for Chatham, and puts them a half-game back of the first-place Saint John Alpines.
In his first start of
the year, Traer scattered seven hits over five innings, yielding two runs. He would hand the ball over to Ryan Barry,
who struck out six Royals over his two innings of work to pick up the save.
Jon Saunders erased a 1-0 Royals lead
in the third inning with a two-run homerun, plating Derek Wilson to give the Ironmen the lead for good. Nick Hardy and
Wilson would add run-scoring singles in the fifth inning off Royals starter Josh Collins, who suffered the loss.
John Burns paced the Royals attack with four singles.
The Ironmen will next see action Thursday night at
Ironmen Field when they host the Moncton Mets. First pitch is slated for 7:30pm. They will travel to Saint John
Saturday night for a doubleheader beginning at 5:00pm.
