Royals Advance to Meet Ironmen
Monday, September 11th
 
The Fredericton Royals defeated the Saint John Alpines 4-0 Sunday night to win the second New Brunswick Senior Baseball League semifinal 4-2.  The Royals now advance to face the Chatham Ironmen in the league finals, beginning Wednesday night at Royals Field in a 7:30 pm start.  The second game will be played in Chatham Thursday night at Ironmen Field at 7:30 pm.  Following is the schedule for the league final:

The dates are set for the Best-of-Seven New Brunswick Senior Baseball League Semifinal between the Moncton Mets and the Chatham Ironmen. 

Game 1 Thursday August 31 Chatham at Moncton 7:30

Game 2 Friday September 1 Moncton at Chatham 7:30

Game 3 Sunday September 3 Chatham at Moncton 7pm

Game 4 Monday September 4 Moncton at Chatham 7:30

Three Ironmen Named to All-Star Squad
Monday, August 21st
 
Three members of the Chatham Ironmen have been named to the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League All-Star team.  Jon Saunders has been named the All-Star catcher, Darren Hardy has been named the All-Star designated hitter, and Jason Dickson has been named the All-Star right handed pitcher.
 
Saunders was third in the league in hitting, tieing with Mike King of the Saint John Alpines with a .363 clip.  Saunders also led the Ironmen in RBI with 20, knocking three homeruns and six doubles.  Also a strong defensive catcher, Saunders has been named the All-Star catcher in four of the last five seasons.
 
Hardy made an immediate impact on the Ironmen lineup in his rookie season in the league.  Hardy finished sixth in the league in hitting, batting .325 with four homeruns and 18 RBI, splitting his time between third base and designated hitter.
 
In his second season with the club, Dickson bettered his impressive numbers from 2005.  Dickson led the Ironmen with a 6-3 record, and finished second in the league with a miniscule 0.89 ERA.  He also led the league in strikeouts, striking out 63 hitters in 62.2 innings.

Jenkins, St. Coeur Added to Mets Roster
 
Ironmen pitcher/shortstop Matt Jenkins and pitcher Brian St. Coeur have been added to the Moncton Mets roster for the 2006 Senior Nationals in Brandon, Manitoba.  Moncton has also added Dave Barr, John Burns, Josh Collins and Chris Sorenson from the Fredericton Royals, and Sherman Yeo from the Saint John Alpines.
 
 
Dickson Named Pitcher of the Week for Second Week in a Row
Monday, July 10th
 
For the second week in a row, Ironmen pitcher Jason Dickson has been named the New Brunswick Senior Baseball Pitcher of the Week.  Dickson tossed a complete game shutout in the Ironmen's 8-0 victory over Saint John Saturday, needing only 67 pitches to do so.  Dickson scattered five hits and struck out five Alpines.  His record now sits at 3-2, with a miniscule 0.98 ERA.
 
 
Dickson Named Pitcher of the Week
Monday, July 3rd
 
Ironmen pitcher Jason Dickson has been named the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League Pitcher of the Week for his performance in a 4-1 victory against the Sydney Sooners.  Dickson scattered five hits, allowing one unearned run over nine innings.  He struck out twelve Sooners for his second consecutive complete game victory.
 
 
 
Interleague Play Schedule Changed
Friday, June 23rd
 
Due to the forecast of rain for New Brunswick on Saturday, the games between the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick Senior Baseball Leagues have been rescheduled.  The Chatham Ironmen will now host the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry Sunday at 1pm, and the Sackville Chiefs Sunday at 6pm.  The game with the Kentville Wildcats will be rescheduled for a later date.
 
 
 
Saunders named Player of the Week
Monday, June 19th
 
Ironmen catcher Jon Saunders has been named the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League Player of the Week.  Saunders notched two doubles in three at-bats in a 2-1 loss to the Fredericton Royals.
 
 
 
Interleague Play Postponed
Friday, June 9th
 
All of this weekend's scheduled games between the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League and Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League have been postponed due to rain forecasted for Nova Scotia.  The games will be made up at a later date.  The Ironmen next see action Thursday, June 15th at 7:30pm when they host the Fredericton Royals at Ironmen Field.
 
 
 
Opener Postponed
Monday, May 22nd
 
Today's game between the Chatham Ironmen and the Moncton Mets has been postponed due to rain.  The game will be rescheduled for a later date.  The Ironmen will open at home on Thursday, May 25th versus the Fredericton Royals for a 7:30 start at Ironmen Field.
 
 
 
Ironmen To Open Season On The Road
Tuesday, May 16th
 
The Chatham Ironmen are scheduled to open the 2006 campaign on the road Monday, May 22nd at 1pm versus the Moncton Mets at Kiwanis Park.  The home opener is slated for Thursday, May 25th versus the Fredericton Royals at Ironmen Field at 7:30pm.
 
 
 
Ironmen Announce Major Sponsors for 2006 Season

The Ironmen are pleased to announce their three major sponsors for the upcoming 2006 season.  Subway is returning for their second season as a major sponsor for the Ironmen.  As well, Molson Canada is back on board as a major sponsor for the ball club.  Joining the ranks of major sponsors is G and G Brothers, the Kawasaki dealership for the Miramichi.  The Ironmen are glad to have all three major sponsors on board and are looking forward to a successful season.
