Catching Up

Been away for a month and upon returning find out a lot has happened in Ironmen land. To start off with, pitcher Kevin Bowes got married and all in the Ironmen family wish the best for Kevin and Cassie.

Kevin also notched a victory on the ball field and garnered his 22nd win lifetime putting him in a tie for 10 place all time Ironmen.

Orry Cook passed the 200 hit mark and Kris Keating topped the 100 RBI mark for the Ironmen lifetime.

JF Neveu is pitching well and now has 39 wins lifetime. He has 5 wins this year and has lowered his ERA to 2.63. In his last 5 games, JF has a 5-0 record, 4 complete games with 34 IP, 5 ER and 37 k’s .with an ERA of 1.03

Jamie Walls has returned giving the pitching a boost as he tossed a shut out against Saint John. Jamie has an ERA of 0.54

Import Jack Kraft, ,besides swinging a hot bat,   showed his pitching abilities as he pitched a complete game victory over the Alpines racking up 6 K’s

Kris Keating and JF Neveu have been picked up by Charlottetown for Nationals later this month in Fredericton, and Jamie Walls was added by the Royals.

The Ironmen now have placed themselves in a favorable spot in fighting for play off positioning

Next home game , and it is a big one, is against the Moncton Fisher Cats on Tuesday Aug 9 at 7:30. It could have huge playoff implications.
